Connecting Fragmented Operations
Turning complex restaurant operations into connected, actionable product workflows.

The Product
This restaurant operations platform brought together multiple aspects of daily restaurant management, including point-of-sale workflows, kitchen operations, payment experiences, menu administration, and staff-related functionality.
The challenge was not simply to develop individual features, but to connect processes that depend on one another during real restaurant operations.
My Role & Contributions
I took responsibility for product discovery, functional definition, requirements, product workflows, stakeholder communication, delivery coordination, and QA/UAT activities.
This involved defining features across interconnected modules, translating operational requirements into actionable work, and collaborating with the technical team throughout implementation.
Selected Product Capabilities
Ordering & Service: Order creation and management; dine-in and takeout workflows; cashier and server experiences; table-related operations; online ordering experiences.
Kitchen Operations: Kitchen Display System (KDS); order preparation workflows; ticket status management; kitchen station-related functionality; order recall and operational views.
Payments & Administration: Payment workflows; split and merged checks; discounts and adjustments; menu and catalog administration; staff-related workflows; restaurant configuration.
Applied AI: AI-assisted menu onboarding; menu content generation; recipe-related information extraction.
Product Complexity
Many workflows crossed module boundaries. An action initiated through ordering or payment could affect kitchen operations, table management, staff responsibilities, or administrative records.
Defining these dependencies and maintaining consistency across the product was an important part of the work.
